The Tamil Nadu government has recently issued an ordinance to increase the compensation for those who lost their lives in the police station. In this Ordinance, Tamil Nadu Government has so far provided Rs. 5 lakh was given. In this case, the compensation for this is Rs. 5 lakhs to Rs. 7.5 lakh and issued an ordinance.
If they die during interrogation at the police stations or during firing by the police or when they are dragged to the police stations for questioning on suspicion, they will get Rs. 5 lakhs to Rs. 7.5 lakhs will be provided by the Tamil Nadu government.
Also, Rs 1 lakh to Rs. 3 lakh has been announced. Apart from that, the government of Tamil Nadu has stated that the death that occurs as a result of not bringing a criminal to the police station and interrogating him at another place is also a police death.
